Higit 110,000 na PUV operators nakatanggap na ng cash subsidy mula sa gobyerno

Nakatanggap na ng Direct Cash Subsidy mula sa Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang nasa 110,359 Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) operators simula nang ilunsad ang naturang programa noong Nov. 16, 2020.

Sa huling datos mula sa LTFRB, nasa kabuuang mahigit P717 million na ang halaga ng naipamahagi na subsidiya sa mga PUV operator sa pamamagitan ng kanilang Pantawid Pasada Program (PPP) Cash Cards.

Ang bawat operator ay nabigyan ng P6,500 kada PUV unit na nasa ilalim ng kanilang prankisa.

Nakatanggap din ng subsidiya ang ilang PUV operators na walang PPP Cash Cards pero may existing account sa Landbank of the Philippines (LBP).

Ang Direct Cash Subsidy ay isang progama ng gobyerno sa ilalim ng Bayanihan To Heal As One Act II upang magbigay-tulong sa mga operators na nahihirapan makabawi sa kanilang kita dahil sa safety protocols na ipinatutupad para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 sa mga pampublikong sasakyan.
