Nasagip ng Manila City government ang 13 street dwellers at walang matirhan sa lungsod, araw ng Miyerkules, November 18.
Ayon sa Manila Public Information Office, isinagawa ng Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW) Rescue Team ang serye ng reach-out operations sa bahagi ng Delpan Street, Abad Santos Street, Padre Burgos Street, Taft Avenue at bisinidad ng Barangay 337.
Katuwang din ng MDSW sa operasyon ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) at Barangay 337 Zone 34 Chairman Alain Padernal.
Agad namang inilipat ang mga nasagip na indibidwal sa rescue facilities sa lungsod.
Patuloy ang pagbibigay ng MDSW ng food at medical assistance.
Sinabi ni MDSW Director Re Fugoso na ginagawa nila ang reach-out operations alinsunod sa plano ni Mayor Isko Moreno na protektahan ang mga homeless person at street dwellers mula sa COVID-19 pandemic.
