Konstruksyon ng dike sa Agusan del Norte, tuloy pa rin
Tuloy pa rin ang konstruksyon ng dike sa Magallanes, Agusan del Norte ayon sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Sinabi ni DPWH Secretary Mark Villar na ang pagsasagawa ng flood control infrastructure ang isa sa mga prayoridad ng kagawaran.
“The construction of flood control infrastructure has always been one of the priority projects greatly considered by the Department especially in areas that are more susceptible to overflowing of river and flooding,” pahayag ng kalihim.
Taong 2019, ipinatupad ng DPWH Agusan del Norte District Engineering Office ang konstruksyon ng 455 linear meter dike na may concrete revetment sa bahagi ng Pandanon-Magallanes Road na nakumpleto ito noong May 2020.
Patuloy naman ang pagsasagawa ng 120.4 linear meters sa ilalim ng CY 2020 Regular Infrastructure Program.
Maliban dito, isa pang concrete dike na may habang 400.3 linear meters ang isasagawa sa 2019 dike project para maprotektahan ang mga residente sa pagtaas ng tubig sa ilog.
Napapalibutan kasi ang bayan ng Magallanes ng mga bundok at dalawang ilog, Baug at Agusan River.
Target matapos ang naturang proyekto sa February 2021.
