Nakumpleto na ang Phase 1 ng road widening project sa Fort Bonifacio – Nichols Field Road o mas kilala bilang Lawton Avenue sa Taguig City.
Pinangunahan ang inaugural ceremony nina Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, Taguig Mayor Lino Cayetano, Taguig Representative Lani Cayetano, araw ng Martes (November 17).
“We are glad to inform the motoring public that their traffic woes will soon be over with the completion of this 1.34-kilometer road widening project that will provide better traffic flow, faster mobilization of goods and services, as well as a safer journey,” pahayag ni Secretary Villar.
“This newly-widened road will reduce travel time from Bonifacio Global City (BGC) to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) by about 40 percent with its capacity to accommodate additional volume of vehicles, providing a new and safer access road to the country’s main gateway,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.
Sinimulan ang proyekto noong August 2017.
Ang naturang proyekto ay bahagi ng as traffic decongesting efforts ng DPWH sa ilalim ng Build, Build, Build Program.
