Bilang ng mga tauhan ng DPWH na nasawi sa landslide umakyat na sa lima

Nadagdagan pa ang bilang ng mga tauhan ng Department of Public Works and Highways na nasawi habang nagsasagawa ng clearing operations sa landslide sa Ifugao.

Ayon kay Public Works Secretary Mark Villar, limang tauhan na nila ang pumanaw sa landslide matapos madagdag sa nasawi si Roldan Pigoh.

“There were 5 heroes that died serving our country during DPWH’s response to Typhoon Ulysses: Roldan Pigoh, Joel Ballag Chur-ig, Johnny Duccog, Julius Gulayan, and John Mutug Limoh,” ayon sa Faceboook post ni Villar.

Sina Limoh, 31-anyos at Julius Gulayan, 24-anyos ay kapwa enginner ng DPWH at bahagi ng Quick Response Team ng ahensya.

Ayon kay Villar magkakasama ang lima nang magtungo sa Nueva Vizcaya-Ifugao-Mt Province Road, sa Sitio Nabito, Barangay Viewpoint sa Banaue, Ifugao,

Nagkaroon kasi ng landslide doon dahil sa pagtama ng bagyong Ulysses.

Subalit bunsod ng patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan, muling nagkaroon ng pagguho ng lupa at kasama sa natabunan ang lugar na pansamantalang sinilungan ng lima.
