Daan-daang bus units, binigyan ng special permit para makabiyahe sa Holy Week
Nag-isyu na ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ng mga special permits para sa mga bus upang matugunan ang pagdagsa ng mga pasaherong bibiyahe sa Semana Santa.
Kasama sa binigyan ng special permits ay ang mga RoRo buses na tumatawid sa Pier patungo sa ibang pantalan.
Ito ay nakapaloob sa Memorandum Circular 2015-008 ng LTFRB.
Sa kasalukuyan ayon kay LTFRB Board Member Ariel Inton, kabuuang 347 mula sa 381 na mga aplikasyon para sa special permits ang kanilang inaprubahan at sakop nito ang 749 units.
Sinabi ni Inton na noon pang Pebrero nila binuksan ang aplikasyon para sa special permits para sa Lenten season. “We have opened the application for the issuance of special permits for the Lenten season since February of this year, this is to cater to all passengers who wish to spend their long weekends outside Manila”, ayon kay Inton.
Ang mga inaprubahan aniya nilang aplikasyon ay nakatugon sa mga rekisito at patakaran na nakasaad sa MC 2015-008.
Muli ring ipinaalala ni Inton sa mga magbabalak na bumiyahe ng walang special permit na isang milyong piso ang multa sa mga kolorum na bus na bibiyahe.
