P5.48-B halaga ng bigas, naisalba dahil sa maagang abiso sa #UlyssesPH – DA
Dahil sa maagang abiso ng Department of Agriculture (DA) ukol sa Typhoon Ulysses, nasa kabuuang 69,716 ektarya ng bigas ang naisalba sa Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) at Regions 2, 3 at 4-A.
Aabot ito sa 341,812 metric tons na nagkakahalaga ng mahigit P5.48 bilyon.
Pagdating naman sa mais, nasa 1,550 ektarya ang naisalba sa Regions 1, 2, at 3 kung saan aabot sa 6,758 metric tons na nagkakahalaga ng P85.62 milyon.
Sinabi ng kagawaran na mahigpit silang nakikipag-ugnayan sa NGAs, LGUs at iba pang DRRM-related offices para alamin ang epekto ng bagyo.
“The Department is in close coordination with concerned NGAs, LGUs and other DRRM-related offices for the impact of TY “ULYSSES” and available resources for interventions and assistance; as well as with water management-related agencies for flood risk monitoring and dam water release,” pahayag ng DA.
Patuloy ding sinusuri ang mga posibleng nasira sa agri-fisheries sector.
Samantala, tiniyak naman ng DA ang pagbibigay ng tulong sa mga apektadong mangingisda at magsasaka.
Kabilang dito ang mga sumusunod:
– 104,544 bag ng rice seeds; 10,223 bag ng corn seeds, at 1,149 kilo ng iba’t ibang gulay mula sa DA RFOs
– Drugs and biologics para sa livestock at poultry
– Survival and Recovery (SURE) Loan Program ng Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC)
– Indemnification fund mula sa Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC).
