Mayor Belmonte: Wala nang lugar sa QC na nakasailalim sa Special Concern Lockdown

Inanunsiyo ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte na wala nang lugar sa lungsod sa nakasailalim sa Special Concern Lockdown (SCL).

Kasunod ito ng pag-aalis ng SCL sa Alleys 1 at 2 sa Block 17, Barangay Bungad noong November 6.

“This is another positive development in our fight against the virus. This is another indication that we’re headed in the right direction, in addition to the drop in number of our active cases,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

“Subalit muli kong ipinapaalala na hindi ito dahilan para tayo’y magpabaya at isantabi ang mga health protocol gaya ng pagsusuot ng face mask, face shield, paghugas ng kamay, at social distancing,” dagdag pa nito.

Ayon kay City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU) head Dr. Rolly Cruz, hindi na kailangan ang SCL sa ngayon dahil walang nakikitang posibleng local o community transmission sa mga lugar sa lungsod.

Sinimulan ang pagpapatupad ng SCL sa QC noong buwan ng Mayo para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19.

Simula Mayo, nasa 68 lugar na may 11,134 pamilya ang inilagay sa SCL.

Nakapagsagawa rin ang CESU ng 9,020 swab tests sa mga naturang lugar kung saan 1,230 ang nagpositibo.

“Those tested positive were immediately brought to HOPE facilities so as to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the communities,” ani Cruz.

Hinikayat din ni Dr. Cruz ang mga opisyal ng barangay na ituloy ang pagiging mapagmatyag laban sa mga hindi sumusunod sa health protocols.
