Composite team, binuo para imbestigahan ang quarrying sa Albay
Bumuo na si Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu ng isang composite team na mag-iimbestiga sa quarrying sa paligid ng Bulkang Mayon sa Albay.
Matatandaang ang quarrying ang sinisi sa lahar flow sa pananalasa ng Bagyong Rolly kung saan 300 kabahayan ang natabunan at anim katao ang nasawi.
Ayon kay Cimatu, binubuo ang composite team ng mga kinatawan mula sa Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), Environmental Management Bureau, at local government units.
Kasabay nito, sinuspinde na ni Cimatu ang 12 quarrying operations sa paligid ng bulkan.
“The task force that we sent there is already working on the investigation. But I also directed one of my Undersecretaries and the MGB Director to go to Albay,” pahayag ni Cimatu.
“The concentration of the investigation is the culpability of these 12 quarrying sites which operate at the same river that there were casualties,” dagdag ng kalihim.
Lalawakan na rin aniya ang imbestigasyon at hindi lamang ang quarrying sa Albay ang iimbestigahan.
