Nagpaabot ng pagbati si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kay U.S. President-elect Joe Biden.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, hangad ng Pangulo ang maayos na pamumuno ni Biden sa Amerika.
“On behalf of the Filipino nation, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wishes to extend his warm congratulations to former Vice President Joseph “Joe” Biden on his election as the new President of the United States of America,” pahayag ni Roque.
Sinabi pa ni Roque na bagamat matagal nang matibay ang bilateral relations ng Pilipinas at Amerika, lalo pa itong paiigtingin sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Biden.
“The Philippines and the United States have long-standing bilateral relations and we are committed to further enhancing the relations with the United States under the Biden administration,”’pahayag ni Roque.
Hangad aniya ng Palasyo na makatrabaho ang administrasyon ni Biden.
“We look forward to working closely with the new administration of President-elect Biden anchored on mutual respect, mutual benefit, and shared commitment to democracy, freedom and the rule of law,” pahayag ni Roque.
