Pilipinas, 12th safest place; Mali ang mga kritiko – Sen. Sotto
Sinabi ni Senate President Vicente Sotto III na pinatunayan ng huling pag-aaral ng Gallup Global ang mga ikinakalat na maling impresyon ukol sa Pilipinas.
Sa survey, lumabas na sa buong mundo, pang-12 ang Pilipinas sa pinakaligtas na bansa.
“Being declared as the 12th safest country in the world is a big leap from the negative perceptions about our country. It is an indication that our laws are also keeping up with the pace of staying relevant and effective,” sabi nito.
Patunay lang din aniya ito na ginagawa ng Kongreso ang kanilang mandato, ang gumawa ng mga makabuluhang batas at aniya, “ while some have been controversial and highly unpopular to government critics, the study proves that our laws are responsive to the needs of our people. It reflects that Filipinos believe that lawmakers are doing their jobs well.”
Ngunit paalala lang nito, hindi dapat magpakampante ang mga mambabatas at awtoridad dahil marami pa rin ang maaring gawin at baguhin.
