Galvez, itinalaga ni Pangulong Duterte bilang vaccine czar
Itinalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si National Task Force against COVID-19 chief implementer Carlito Galvez bilang vaccine czar.
Ayon sa Pangulo, tanging si Galvez ang mamamahala sa pagbili, pakikipag-negosasyon at distribusyon ng mga bibilhing bakuna kontra COVID-19.
“Pagbili ng bakuna, the negotiation, manufacture, production, or distribution, binigay ko yan kay Secretary Galvez. So only Secretary Galvez is authorized to negotiate or whatever,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Ayaw ng Pangulo ng maraming komite na mangangasiwa sa pagbili ng bakuna.
“Ayaw ko yang committee-committee. Matagal yan. I have great faith in Charlie to really come up with the solutions for the problem,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Una nang sinabi ng Pangulo na maaaring bumili ang Pilipinas ng bakuna sa China, Russia o Amerika para sa 20 milyong mahihirap na Filipino.
