Bilib si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa trabaho ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.
Sa briefing sa Malakanyang, Lunes ng hapon (November 2), sinabi ng Pangulo na maganda ang trabaho ni Duque sa surveillance at vigilance sa mga posibleng outbreak.
“Ang nahalata ko dito sa panahon mo, is the surveillance and the vigilance in keeping track of possible outbreak, I like that and you’ve been doing it. That’s why I cannot find any plausible or even a meager argument for your suspension. Wala akong nakitang ano, trabaho mo maganda, with the surveillance that you are doing and the vigilance, public health, is amply protected,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Matatandaang ilang senador na ang nanawagan na sibakin at kasuhan si Duque dahil sa anomalya sa PhilHealth.
Pero ayon sa Pangulo, hindi siya naniniwala na sangkot sa korupsyon si Duque kung kaya walang sapat na basehan para sibakin sa puwesto.
