Walong PhilHealth executives sinuspinde ng Ombudsman
Ipinag-utos ni Ombudsman Samuel Martires ang suspensyon sa walong opisyal ng PhilHealth dahil sa anomalya sa paglalabas ng P2.7 billion na halaga ng pondo sa ilalim ng Interim Reimbursement Mechanism policy ng ahensya.
Ang suspensyon ay bunsod ng inihaing mga reklamong grave misconduct, gross neglect of duty at conduct prejudicial to the best interest of service ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Kabilang sa mga sinuspinde ay sina PhilHealth Executive Vice President at Chief Operating Officer (COO) Arnel de Jesus, PhilHealth COO for Fund Management Sector Renato Limsiaco, PhilHealth Senior Vice President Dr. Israel Paragas at limang iba pa.
Ayon sa imbestigasyon ng NBI ang nasabing mga opisyal ang nasa likod ng kwestyunableng pagre-release ng IRM funds.
Ang ipinataw na preventive suspension ng Office of the Ombudsman sa walo ay hanggang 6 na buwan at kanselado din ang kanilang sweldo.
