PNP, may mga bagong police equipment na nagkakahalaga ng P569-M
May P569 milyong halaga ang mga bagong kagamitan ang Philippine National Police (PNP).
Pinangunahan ni PNP Chief General Camilo Cascolan ang blessing ng mga bagong kagamitan kasabay ng flag raising ceremony sa Camp Crame, araw ng Lunes (October 26).
Pinalakas ang modernization program ng pambansang pulisya sa ilalim ng PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 sa pamamagitan ng mga dagdag na gamit at mobility assets upang mapagbuti ang mobile patrol operations sa mga komunidad.
“Today, we showcased the Php569-million worth of enabling equipment to fill-up the requirements of PNP units for mobility, firepower, and communications, which are among the key priorities of our capacity-building, modernization, and development agenda,” pahayag ni Cascolan.
Kabilang sa bagong mobility assets at rifles ang 92 units ng Patrol Jeep Single Cab, 6 units ng 4×4 Personnel Carrier, 90 units ng 1000cc Heavy Motorcycle, 7,700 units ng Galil Ace 5.56mm Basic Assault Rifle at 434 units ng Digital Handheld Radio.
Ayon kay Police Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Licup, na-procure ang bagong police equipment ng NHQ Bids and Awards Committee at Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC).
Napondohan ito mula sa Capability Enhancement Programs (CEPs) 2019 at 2020, Congressional Initiative Allocation (CIA) 2019, APEC 2015, at Reserve Agency Fund (RAF) 2018 na aabot sa P569,092,642.
Sa inisyal na programa, lahat ng bagong patrol jeep single cabs ay ipamamahagi sa Municipal Police Stations at 10 units para sa Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office.
Makakatanggap naman ang Maritime Group and Highway Patrol Group ng 6 units ng Personnel Carrier at 90 units ng 1000cc Heavy Motorcycle para mapalalas ang kanilang operational capabilities.
Gagamitin naman ang mga bagong police motorcycle para sa high-speed tactical police response sa mga street-crimes lalo na sa mga riding in tandem.
Gagamitin naman ng Mobile Forces at High-Risk Police Stations ang 7,700 units ng Galil Ace 5.56mm Basic Assault Rifle habang ang 434 units ng Digital Handheld Radio at ibibigay sa National Capital Regional Police Office.
