Ginastos sa 30th SEA Games dapat ipaliwanag ng Phisgoc – Sen. de Lima

Sang-ayon si Senator Leila de Lima sa panawagan ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) na ipaliwanag ng Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc) ang ginastos sa nagdaan 30th Southeast Asian Games sa bansa noong nakaraang taon.

Naglabas ng pahayag sa isyu si de Lima nang malaman na hindi pa rin malinaw kung magkano ang talagang kinita at ginastos ng sporting event.

“Until now, one year after the country’s hosting of the biennial competition, the Filipino public is still left in the dark with regards to how PHISGOC spent billions on last year’s Southeast Asian Games,” sabi nito.

Diin ng senadora hindi naman dapat balewalain ang posibleng korapsyon at nararapat lang aniya na managot ang dapat papanagutin.

Una nang inihayag ng POC ang kanilang kahandan na gumawa ng aksyon-legal laban sa Phisgoc dahil sa kawalan pa rin ng financial report.

Una nang pinalawig ang pagsusumite ng financial report noong Oktubre 10 ngunit wala pa rin naisusumite sina Phisgoc chairman at Taguig Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano gayundin si Phisgoc chief operating officer Ramon Suzara.
