127 na staff ng OWWA nagpositibo sa COVID-19 simula noong Marso

8,000 OFWs ang inaasikaso araw-araw ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Sa panayam ng Radyo INQUIRER sinabi ni OWWA administrator Hans Leo Cacdac, kabilang dito ang average na 1,500 na overseas Filipinos na dumarating sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) araw-araw.

Mayroon ding 1,500 na OFWs na inaasistihan ng OWWA na makauwi sa kani-kanilang home region.

At mayrooong average na 5,000 OFs ang inaasikaso ng OWWA na nasa mga quarantine facility.

Ayon kay Cacdac, simula noong magkaroon ng pandemic ng COVID-19 umabot na sa 127 na OWWA personnel ang tinamaan ng naturang sakit.

Sa kabila nito tiniyak ni Cacdac na tuluy-tuloy ang serbisyo ng mga frontliner ng OWWA para matulungan ang mga umuuwing OFs.

Sa datos ng OWWA, umabot na sa 262,000 na OFs ang naasistihan para makauwi sa kani-kanilang pamilya.
