Ligtas na nakauwi ang 40 locally stranded individuals (LSIs) sa Iloilo City, araw ng Martes (October 20).
Ayon sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), hinatid ang mga LSI ng BRP Malapascua (MRRV-4403) sa Arrastre Pier, Fort San Pedro.
Ang naturang ferry mission ay nagmula sa Lungsod ng Maynila.
Tiniyak ng mga tauhan ng PCG na naipatupad ang health standards sa loob ng barko.
Sumailalim din sa disembarkation protocol ang nga LSI laban sa banta ng nakakahawang sakit.
Bahagi ito rin ng malawakang “Hatid Tulong Initiative” ng pamahalaan sa kasagsagan ng COVID-19 pandemic.
