Mahigit 6,000 OFWs stranded sa mga quarantine facilities sa Metro Manila

Umabot na sa 6,000 overseas Filipino workers ang stranded sa iba’t ibang quarantine facilities sa Metro Manila.

Ito ay matapos huminto ang Philippine Red Cross sa pagsasagawa ng COVID-19 tests para sa pamahalaan.

Ayon kay Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, mas matagal na kasi ngayon ang pagpoproseso at paglalabas ng resulta ng COVID-19 tests.

Kung noon ay 1 hanggang 2 araw lamang ay nailalabas na ang resulta, simula noong October 15 ay umaabot na ng isang linggo.

Simula noong October 16 ay inihinto na ng PRC ang pagsasagawa ng COVID-19 test sa mga umuuwing Pinoy dahil hindi nakababayad ang PhilHealth.

Umabot na sa P930 million ang balanse ng PhilHealth sa Red Cross.
