Makati LGU, naglaan ng higit P3-M pondo para sa Teach for the Philippines Program

Pirmado na ni Makati Mayor Abby Binay ang memorandum of agreement (MOA) ukol sa paglalaan ng P3.28 milyong pondo para sa Teach for the Philippines (TFP) Program para sa tatlong napiling public elementary schools.

Ayon sa Makati City government, ipapatupad ang programa sa dalawang magkasunod na school years – 2020 to 2021 at 2021 to 2022.

Kasama sa naturang kasunduan ang Department of Education, Makati City Schools Division (DepEd Makati) at TFP, Inc.

Nasa anim na college graduates ang napili ng TFP para maglingkod bilang Fellows sa partner schools sa lungsod.

Sagot ang allowance at kailangang gastusin sa training ng mga teacher fellow sa dalawang school years, kabilang ang summer period.

Magbibigay naman ang TFP ng sample lesson plans, assessments, grade tracking systems at instructional materials.

Sinabi ng Makati LGU na layon ng fellowship program na magbigay ng pagsasanay sa mga guro at non-education majors upang sila ay maging “successful and transformational teachers.”

Magkakaroon din ng research and development component na magsusulong ng science-based policies para sa edukasyon.

Narito ang mga teacher fellow na itinalaga sa mga sumusunod na paaralan:

La Paz Elementary School:
– Mark Mailom
– Don Neri

Maximo Estrella Elementary School:
– Kate Gaetos
– Meo Nacar

Nemesio I. Yabut Elementary School:
– Aya Datuin
– Fran de Guzman
