2 Abu Sayyaf members, natimbog ng NBI sa Pasay City

Magkahiwalay na naaresto ng mga ahente ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa Pasay City ang dalawang miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf Group.

Kinilala ni NBI OIC Eric Distor ang dalawang nahuli na sina Jamar Ibi alyas “Bas” at Raden Jamil alyas “Tamiya.”

Nahaharap ang dalawa sa kasong kidnapping at serious illegal detention with ransom.

Pinaniniwalaan na sangkot ang dalawa sa pagdukot ng mga miyembro ng Jehova’s Witness sa Patikul, Sulu noong August 21, 2002.

Sinabi ni Distor na nakatanggap sila ng impormasyon kaugnay sa presensiya ng dalawang terorista sa Pasay City kayat kumilos ang kanilang Counter-Terrorism Division.

Kinilala din ng isang testigo sina Ibi at Jamil na miyembro ng teroristang grupo.

Unang naaresto si Ibi noong Oktubre 12 at makalipas ang isang linggo ay nasukol naman si Jamil.
