Sen. Go sa DOH: Pag-aralan ang saliva-based COVID-19 testing

Hiniling ni Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go sa Department of Health (DOH) na pag-aralan ang pagkonsidera sa saliva-based COVID-19 testing sa bansa dahil ito ay mas mura at mas ligtas para sa health workers.

Ayon naman kay Health Sec. Francisco Duque III, ang saliwa testing ay pinag aaralan pa lang ng Health Technology Assessment Council (HTAC), isang independent body na nabuo sa Universal Health Care Act.

Aniya, hinihintay pa nila ang rekomendasyon ng HTAC para mapag-aralan na ring DOH at PhilHealth.

Sagot pa ng kalihim sa senador, kailangan pa ng konting panahon para matiyak ang ‘accuracy’ ng testing na gagawin sa pamamagitan ng laway ng tao.

Samantala, tinanong din ni Go si Duque kung ano ang desisyon ng IATF sa pagdaraos ng Christmas parties, reunions at mass gatherings sa darating na Kapaskuhan.

Aniya, dapat ay malinaw ang guidelines na ilalabas ng IATF para maging ligtas ang pagdiriwang ng Holiday season.
