Pangulong Duterte, tiniyak na mababayaran ang utang ng PhilHealth sa Red Cross
Babayaran ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang P930 milyon na utang ng PhilHealth sa Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
Pahayag ito ng Pangulo, matapos sabihin ng Philippine Red Cross na ititigil na ang pasasagawa ng swab test para sa COVID-19 dahil sa malaking utang ng PhilHealth.
Sa ‘Talk to the Nation’ ng Pangulo, sinabihan nito si Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na hindi dapat na mag-alala sa utang ng PhilHealth.
Ayon sa Pangulo, maghahanap siya ng pondo para ipangbayad sa PhilHealth.
Iginiit pa ng Pangulo na naghahanap din lang siya ng solusyon kung paano ipiprisinta sa Commission on Audit (COA) at Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang naturang usapin.
“Ditong Red Cross, ‘wag ka mag-alala, mabayaran to. Just looking for a way to present the solution to COA pati sa Budget. Do not worry, we will pay, it will take time but we will pay. We;ll look for the money. Hindi naman marami pero yung priortiies natin dito is really medical. Medical treatment, medical attention. Yun ang ano natin. Alam ko na itong bayad na ito, babayaran to in a short while. Do not worry,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Duda si Panglong Duterte na tuluyang ipatitigil ni Philippine Red Cross Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Senador Richard Gordon ang pagsasgawa ng swab test.
“Yung Red Cross kasi hindi nabayaran doon sa testing sa COVID. Ang problema nito, Red Cross is threatening to ano… But I do not think Senator Gordon would have in his mind to stop. They would continue. what i’m really trying to say is we will pay. sabihin ko kay Senator Gordon, because he heads the Red Cross, na babayaran ko to. Money has always been a problem everywhere, lalo na mga gobyerno. Dumaan tayo ng malaking gastos, we are trying to make both ends meet. Parang lastiko, talagang binabanat natin nang husto yung resources natin,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
