P20-B ‘institutional amendments’ sa 2021 budget, inaprubahan ng small committee sa Kamara
Inabrubahan ng small committee sa Kamara ang aabot sa P20 bilyong institutional amendments sa ipinasang P4.5-trillion 2021 national budget para taasan ang pondo sa COVID-19 vaccine at pantulong sa mga manggagawang nawalan ng trabaho at internet connection sa mga pampublikong paaralan.
Ayon kay House Committee on Appropriations Senior Vice Chairman Joey Sarte Salceda, natapos nila, araw ng Lunes (October 19), ang pulong ng binuong small committee na inatasang tumanggap ng mga amyenda sa proposed bnational budget.
Galing aniya sa unprogrammed funds ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) ang nasabing halaga.
Sa P20 bilyon, P5.5 bilyon ang inilalaan sa pagbili ng COVID-19 vaccine, P300 milyon para sa implementation ng mental health program at P2 bilyon naman sa Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP).
Kabilang sa institutional amendments na kanilang ginawa ang P4 bilyong budget allocation sa Tulong Panghanap Buhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program ng Deparmtent of Labor and Employment (DOLE) at P2 bilyon naman para sa Department of Social Welfare and Development para tulungan ang mga pamilyang apektado ng pandemya.
Aabot naman sa P1.7 bilyon ang dagdag sa pondo ng Department of Education (DepEd) para sa internet connection ng mga pampublikong paaralan.
Naglaan din P100 milyong dagdag na pondo na ibibigay para sa Energy Regulatory Commission at P400 million sa Philippine National Oil Co. para sa renewable energy at energy sufficiency programs.
Karagdagang P2 bilyon naman ang ibibigay sa Philippine National Police-Department of Interior and Local Government at P2 bilyon din para sa Armed Forces of the Philippines na gagamitin sa pagbili ng dalawang C-130 na eroplano.
Dahil dito, iginiit ni Salceda na hindi magkakaroon ng reenacted budget sa susunod na taon.
