Coast Guard balik sa mano-manong pre-processing ng swab samples ng mga returning Overseas Filipino

Mas magtatagal ang paglalabas ng resulta ng COVID-19 test ng mga umuuwing Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) at non-OFWs.

Sa pahayag ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) sinabing simula kahapon, Oct. 15 ay balik ang Coast Guard sa manu-manong pre-processing ng swab samples na nakukulekta sa One-Stop Shops (OSS) sa NAIA Terminals 1, 2, at 3.

Dahil dito, ang RT-PCR test results ay maaring matanggap sa pamamagitan ng email sa loob ng hanggang dalawang araw, hindi gaya dati na wala pang 24 na oras dahil mayroong automated pre-processing system.

Ipinaliwanag ng PCG na sila ang naatasang mag-provide ng negative RT-PCR test results, habang ang Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) naman ang umaasikaso sa koordinasyon sa lahat ng returning OFs na magpopositibo.

Sa kabila ng pagiging manu-mano na ng pre-processing ng swab samples sinabi ng Coast Guard na pipiliting maging mabilis pa rin ang proseso.

Dahil dito ang mga PCG frontline personnel na nakatalaga sa quarantine hotels ay tutulong na din sa Coast Guard units na nakatalaga sa paliparan.

Inatasan ni PCG Commandant, Admiral George V. Ursabia Jr. ang PCG Task Force Bayanihan ROF na gawin ang lahat upang maiwasan ang inconvenience sa mga ROFs.

Handa din si Ursabia na mag-deploy ng mas marami pang tauhan sa NAIA.

Hanggang ngayong araw, Oct. 16 ay mayroong 116 na PCG frontline personnel na manu-manong nagsasagawa ng encoding sa 2,833 ROF swab samples na nakulekta kahapon, Oct. 15.

Pagkatapos ng encoding ay saka ito dadalhin sa designated government laboratories.
