40 mangingisdang Pinoy sa North Sulawesi sinundo ng barko ng Coast Guard, pauwi na ng bansa

Apatnapung mangingisdang Pinoy mula sa North Sulawesi, Indonesia ang darating na sa bansa.

Ang mga Pinoy ay sinundo ng BRP Tubbataha ng Philippine Coast Guard na dumating sa Satrol Wharf sa Bitung, Indonesia kahapon ng umaga.

Ayon kay Manuel Ayap, Acting Head ng Philippine Consulate General sa Manado, mula nang magkaroon ng pandemic ng COVID-19, ito ang unang repatriation ng mga Filipino mula Indonesia na lulan ng barko.

Tinulungan ng konsulada ang mga mangingsda na makakuha ng travel documents at maaprubahan ang kanilang immigration clearances.

21-oras ang biyahe ng barko at inaasahang darating sila sa General Santos bukas araw ng Sabado, Oct. 17.

Lahat ng 40 Pinoy ay isinailalim sa RT-PCR testing bago ang kanilang pagbiyahe.
