Paglabag ng mga kongresista sa health protocols bahala na ang House Committee on Ethics

Ipinauubaya na ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang sa Committee on Ethics sa Kamara ang pagpapasya kung didisiplinahin ang mga Kongresista.

Ito ay matapos mapuna ng netizens na hindi sumusunod ang mga kongresista sa health protocols na itinatakda ng pamahalaan kontra COVID-19 gaya ng physical distancing.

Habang nagbabangayan kasi kahapon sa speakership sina Congressmen Alan Peter Cayeetano at Lord Allan Velasco, halos magkakadikit na ang mga kongresista sa plenaryo.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harryy Roque, hindi na ito pakikialaman ng ehekutibo.

Mismong ang mga miyembro na aniya ng Kamara ang magpapasya kung may pananagutan ang kanilang mga kasamahan.

Mahirap naman aniya kung pati ito ay pakikialaman pa ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Isang co-equal branch aniya ang Kongreso na may sariling mga polisiya.

“I leave it to the House of Representatives to address. Napakahirap naman po that the President being a co-equal branch will interfere even with the manner by which the House of Representatives met. So we leave it to them po, highlighting na kinakailangan lahat po ng mga namumuno sa bayan dito ay iisa po ang boses pagdating sa mask, hugas at iwas,” ayon kay Roque.

Ayon kay Roque, malinaw ang mensahe ng pamahalaan, magsuot ng face mask, maghugas ng kamay, umiwas o dumistansya sa isa’t isa para makaiwas sa sakit na COVID-19.
