Palasyo, nagparating ng pagbati kay Speaker Lord Allan Velasco
“Congratulations!”
Ito ang naging pagbati ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang kay Marinduque Congressman Lord Allan Velasco matapos mahalal bilang speaker ng Kamara kapalit ni Taguig Congressman Alan Peter Cayetano.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, desisyon na ng mga kongresista ang pagpili ng kanilang lider.
“Our congratulations then to the new Speaker of the House, Congressman Lord Allan Velasco. But as I said, that’s a decision of the House of Representatives – it’s the President’s response,” pahayag ni Roque.
Iginagalang aniya ng Palasyo ang palitan ng liderato sa Kamara.
“Well, consistent naman po ang ating Presidente, ang paghalal po ng mga liderato sa Mababang Kapulungan ay desisyon ng mga indibidwal na mga representante natin. So we respect the wish of the members of the House of Representatives on who will be their Speaker ‘no and if it is true that it has been ratified, then so be it,” pahayag ni Roque.
Ayon kay Roque, dahil natapos na ang drama sa Kamara, napapanahon nang atupagin ang pagpasa sa P4.5 trilyong national budget para sa taong 2021.
