P3.27-B ‘utang’ ng Philippine International Trading Corp. sa mga bumbero, nakalkal ni Sen. Recto
Katulad sa Philippine National Police (PNP), may pagkakautang din ang Philippine International Trading Corp. (PITC) sa Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) ayon kay Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto.
Sa pagbubunyag ni Recto, sinabi nito na kahit isa sa 98 fire stations na kinontrata ng PITC para maipatayo sa halagang P892 million ay walang natuloy.
Diin ni Recto, bahagi lang ito ng P3.27 bilyong halaga ng mga suplay, materyales at gusali na hindi nai-deliver ng PITC sa BFP.
Ipinagtataka rin ng senador ang pagbibigay ng pondo ng bayan sa PITC para magtayo ng mga fire station gayung hindi naman sila bihasa sa konstruksyon.
“It is like asking Duque to build flyovers,” aniya, patungkol kay Health Sec. Francisco Duque III.
Base aniya sa ulat ng Commission on Appointments, may 170 fire stations ang hindi natapos hanggang noong 2019 at may ilan sa mga ito na napondohan noon pang 2015.
Aniya, 98 porsyento sa bilang ay nakontrata ng PITC para maipatayo.
