Resolusyon ng UNHRC na magbibigay ng technical assistance para sa human rights violations, welcome kay Sen. Go

Welcome kay Senador Christopher “Bong” Go ang resolusyon ng United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) na magbibigay ng technical assistance sa bansa para matugunan ang human rights violations na may kaugnayan sa anti-drug war campaign.

Ayon kay Go, dahil sa hakbang na ito, magkakaroon ng malalim na ugnayan ang Pilipinas at UNHRC para tuluyang masugpo ang ilegal na droga.

May nakalatag na aniyang mekanismo ang Pilipinas gaya ng independent judicial system para tuluyang mapabilis ang pagtugon sa problema.

“I believe that we have the necessary mechanisms and functional institutions, including an independent judiciary. This will be a step in the right direction as this offer of technical assistance to the Philippines will further strengthen these mechanisms and institutions,” pahayag ni Go.

“We have a robust and active democracy with an elected government which continues to enjoy the trust and confidence of the vast majority of our people,” dagdag ng Senador.

Base sa talaan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency mula July 2016 hanggang August 2020,  176,777 anti-illegal drugs operations na ang nagawa habang 256,788 drug personalities ang naaresto.
