10,000 Filipino health workers nakaalis ng Pilipinas mula Enero – POEA

Halos 10,000 Filipino health workers ang nakaalis ng Pilipinas at nakapag-trabaho sa bansa simula noong Enero, ayon sa Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).

Sinabi ni POEA Administrator Bernard Olalia marami sa kanila ay nurses at umuwi sa bansa para sa pagselebra ng Kapaskuhan kasama ang kanilang pamilya.

“Since the start of the year, we were able to send abroad 10,000 HCWs particularly nurses who are Balik Manggagawa. They went home for the Yuletide Season and went back to their jobs abroad after the Christmas break. We continue to allow BM to leave,” aniya.

Dagdag pa nito maging ang mga OFWs na sumailalim sa government-to-government program ay pinayagan din na makabalik sa kanilang trabaho sa ibang bansa.

“We deploy them on the basis of our bilateral labor relations we signed with other host countries. In Germany, we have 550 nurses in the pipeline for this year. We have also 400 more in the pipeline last year,” sabi pa ng opisyal.

Pinapayagan ang nurses at iba pang healthcare workers na makaalis ng Pilipinas basta nakapirma na sila ng kontrata hanggang noong Agosto 31.
