Pangulong Duterte, may naitabing budget para sa bakuna vs COVID-19

May naitabi nang budget si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para ipambili ng bakuna kontra COVID-19.

Pahayag ito ng Palasyo matapos sabihin ng World Health Organization (WHO) na maaaring maging available na sa merkado ang bakuna sa katapusan ng 2020.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, batid na ng pamahalaan ang mekanismo sa pagbili ng bakuna.

Ang Philippine International Trading Corporation ang bibili ng bakuna at ang Land Bank of the Philippines at Development Bank of the Philippines ang magfi-finance.

“Ay naitabi na po natin ang budget para sa pagbili ng Covid-19 [vaccine]. Alam na natin ang mekanismo. PITC (Philippine International Trading Corp.) ang bibili po niyan at ang magfi-finance po ay ang LandBank at DBP at bibili po tayo ng dosage, dalawang dosage para sa 20 million na pinakahirap nating mga kababayan. Mauuna po ang mga mahihirap,” pahayag ni Roque.

Una nang sinabi ng Palasyo na P2.5 bilyon ang inilaang pondo ng pamahalaan para ipambili ng bakuna.
