Ayon kay SBMA Chairman and Administrator Wilma Eisma, inilabas ang kompensasyon alinsunod sa Administrative Order No. 26 na may petsang March 23, 2020.
Sa ilalim ng kautusan, bibigyan ng P500 pesos na hazard pay kada araw ang bawat government employee at contract worker sa panahon ng public health emergency.
Inaprubahan aniya ng SBMA board of directors ang paglalabas ng hazard pay base sa naging rekomendasyon ng pamunuan noong buwan ng Agosto.
“Most of those who received significant amounts are security officers and firefighters, who were on field assignments at a time when most of our departments worked from home,” pahayag ni Eisma.
“The security officers enforced border controls, while the firefighters disinfected offices, facilities and public places to keep the Subic community safe,” dagdag pa nito.
Ayon sa SBMA Finance Group, aabot sa 1,739 empleyado ang magiging benepisyaryo nito.
Kabilang dito ang 1,074 empleyado na may plantilla positions, 550 na contract of service workers, 101 personnel sa ilalim ng government contracting, at 14 casual hires.
Sa datos ng SBMA, makakatanggap ang plantilla employees ang average na P13,438 hazard pay, habang ang contract workers naman ay average ng P12,912.
“Finance Group head Antonietta Sanqui said that under guidance from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the SBMA computed the hazard pay at P62.50 per hour from the P500 per-day government ceiling and applied this pro-rata to actual number of work hours based on daily time records,” ayon pa sa SBMA.
