DOH, nakatanggap ng libu-libong PPE na donasyon ng WHO

Nakatanggap ang Department of Health (DOH) ng libu-libong donasyong health commodities mula sa World Health Organization (WHO).

Personal na tinanggap ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III ang donasyon mula kay Dr. Rabindra Abeyasinghe, Officer-in-Charge and Acting WHO Representative to the Philippines, araw ng Lunes.

Kabilang sa mga ibinigay na donasyong personal protective equipment (PPEs) ng WHO ang 230,900 na pirasong gown, 405,000 na pirasong KN95 masks, 187,800 na pirasong face shields, 159,540 na pirasong googles at 552,000 na pirasong surgical masks.

Maliban dito, nagbigay din ang WHO ng 350 units ng oxygen concentrators na makatutulong sa mga pasyentong mayroong breathing disorder.

Ang donasyong health commodities ng WHO Philippines ay bahagi ng humanitarian aid donation para sa COVID-19 response base sa global allotment ng WHO Headquarters.

“Lubos po ang ating pasasalamat sa WHO dahil sa kanilang patuloy na suporta sa ating COVID-19 response,” pahayag naman ni Duque.

Sinabi ng kagawaran na dadalhin ang mga health commodities sa Office of Civil Defense (OCD) para sa accounting at distribusyon nito.
