LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project, halos 50 percent nang kumpleto
Umabot na sa 48.43 percent ang completion rate ng LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project.
Ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr), minamadali na ang proyekto matapos ang halos dalawang dekada at mga nagdaang administrasyon na halos hindi ito umusad.
Target ng DOTr, Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) at ng Bouygues Construction na magkaroon ng partial operation ang Cavite extension ng LRT-1 sa 2021.
Ang 11.7 kilometers extension ng LRT-1 ay mula Baclaran hanggang sa Brgy. Niog sa Bacoor, Cavite.
Sa sandaling matapos, magiging 25-minuto na lamang ang biyahe hanggang Cavite mula sa kasalukyang 1 oras at 10 minuto.
Aabot din sa 300,000 hanggang 500,000 na pasahero ay maisasakay nito kada araw.
