P87.2M ‘Housing Fund’ ng DILG dapat ilipat sa Human Settlement Department – Sen. Tolentino
Itinutulak ni Senator Francis Tolentino na mula sa Department of the Interior and Local Government ay mapunta sa Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development ang may P87.2 million.
Ang halaga ay ang Resettlement Government Assistance Fund.
Katuwiran ni Tolentino ang pondo ay may kinalaman sa pabahay kayat nararapat lang na ilipat na ito ng DILG sa DHSUD para maiwasan ang pagkakatulad ng trabaho ng dalawang kagawaran.
Paniwala ng senador ang pinaglaanan ng pondo ay trabaho talaga ng National Housing Authority.
Pabor naman si Interior Secretary Eduardo Año sa nais ni Tolentino ngunit nilinaw niya na ang pondo ay hindi lang para sa relokasyon kundi maari din gastusin sa governance reforms at resettlement.
Inihirit din ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Local Government na kailangan mailipat din ang P10 million Muslim Resettlement Relocation Services Fund ng DILG sa DHSUD para sa ikinakasang rehabilitasyon ng Marawi City.
