Train speed ng MRT-3 itinaas sa 40kph
Inaasahang mas mapapabilis ang pagbiyahe ng mga pasahero sakay ng MRT-3.
Ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr), simula ngayong araw October 1 ay itataas sa 40 kph ang bilis ng takbo ng mga tren.
Mangangahulugan ito ng mas mabilis na travel time at mas maiksing waiting time para sa pagdating ng mga tren sa istasyon.
Ang mas pagtaas sa speed limit ay kasunod ng paglalagay ng mga bagong long-welded rails (LWRs) sa lahat ng MRT-3 stations.
Mula 40kph, ay itataas pa ang bilis ng mga tren sa 50kph sa Nobyembre at 60kph sa Disyembre.
Ngayong buwan ng Setyembre ay nakumpleto na ng MRT-3 ang pagpapalit sa mga riles nas mas maaga kaysa sa target schedule na February 2021.
