Pagpapalit ng liderato sa Kamara, hindi isyu sa Senado – Sotto
Hindi isyu sa mga senador ang pagpapalit ng liderato ng Mababang Kapulungan.
Ito ang sinabi ni Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III at basta aniya, iisa ang kanilang pananaw.
“We can work with any Speaker as long as we have the same perspective,” aniya.
Ayon naman kay Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, walang epekto sa kanilang mga senador ang nangyari sa Kamara.
“No matter who leads the House, the Senate – or at least like-minded senators who choose to be the vanguards against the legilastive abuse of the power of the purse – will not be affected,” sabi ni Lacson.
Samantala, inihalintulad naman ni Sen. Leila de Lima sa ‘mafia’ ang Mababang Kapulungan dahil sa pagsangguni kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para ayusin ang mga hindi pagkakaunawaan.
Diin ni de Lima, dapat ay panatilihin ang pagiging malaya ng lehislatura sa ehekutibo.
“Ganito mag-away ang mga mafia. Pupunta sa Godfather para ayusin ang gulo nila,” sabi pa ng senadora.
