Facebook nagpatupad ng shut down sa ilang accounts at pages na sumusuporta kay Pangulong Duterte at sa presidential bid ng anak niyang si Sara Duterte-Carpio

Nagpatupad ng shut down ang Facebook management sa maraming pekeng accounts at pages sa Pilipinas.

Ayon kay Facebook Head of Security Policy Nathaniel Gleicher, ang mga pekeng accounts at pages ay na-trace sa ilang indibidwal mula sa Fujian Province sa China.

Kabilang sa binura ay ang mga inauthentic accounts at pages na sumusuporta kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at sa posibleng presidential bid ng anak niya na si Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Sinabi ni Gleicher na nagpo-post ng mga impormasyon sa mga pekeng Facebook pages at accounts sa wikang Chinese, Filipino at English.

“They posted in Chinese, in Filipino, and in English about global news and current events, including Beijing’s interest in the South China Sea, HongKong, contents supportive of President Duterte and Sara Duterte’s potential run in the 2022 Presidential Elections,” ani Gleicher

At sa ginawang imbestigasyon ng Facebook ay nakitang nasa Fuijian, China ang mga nasa likod ng accounts at pages.
