Drug ops sa mga kulungan, pinaiimbestigahan ni PNP Chief Cascolan
Inatasan ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Camilo Cascolan ang PNP Drug Enforcement Group na makipag-ugnayan sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at imbestigahan ang nagpapatuloy na drug operations sa loob ng mga kulungan.
“I have directed PDEG (PNP Drug Enforcement Group) to coordinate closely with PDEA and BuCor to validate the information of the alleged continued operation of illegal drugs activities by a convicted drug lord even while serving sentence inside the prison,” sabi ni Cascolan.
Noong nakaraang Linggo ng umaga, tatlo ang naaresto sa isang drug buy-bust operation sa Cebu City.
Nakumpiska sa operasyon ang pitong kilo ng shabu na nagkakahalaga ng higit P47 milyon.
Itinuro ng isa sa mga naresto ang isang Rustico Ygot na nagmamay-ari ng nasamsam na droga.
Lumabas naman na si Ygot ay itinuturing na drug lord at nasentensiyahan noong 2013. Siya ay kasalukuyang nakakulong sa pambansang piitan sa Muntinlupa City.
