3 dayuhan naaresto sa tangkang pagkuha ng PH Passport sa DFA gamit ang pekeng dokumento

Nagbabala ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa anumang tangkang iregularidad sa pagkuha ng pasaporte.

Kasunod ito ng pagkaka-aresto sa tatlong Chinese nationals na nagtangkang kumuha ng Philippine Passport gamit ang mga pekeng dokumento.

Ayon sa DFA, nangyari ang insidente sa Consular Office ng DFA sa Lucena.

Batay sa imbestigasyo ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) gumamit ng pekeng Birth Certificate at driver’s license ang mag-asawang dayuhan na sina Pan Jeiwi at Lian Cuiyi.

Isa pang Chinese na nakilala sa alyas na Jacky Su ang nagsilbing “fixer” ng dalawa.

Ayon sa NBI, kumausap ng mga DFA si Jacky para maiproseso ang pasaporte ng mag-asawa sa halagang P400,000 kada isa.

Sinabi ng DFA na ang ginawa ng mga dayuhan ay malinaw na paglabag sa Philippine Passport Act of 1996.
