Total lifting ng deployment ban ng health workers, malabo – DOLE

Aminado si Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na malabo na mangyari sa ngayon ang pagbawi sa deployment ban sa mga medical and health care professional na gustong magtrabaho sa ibang bansa.

Katuwiran ni Bello, hindi pa natatapos ang krisis dulot ng COVID-19 at ayaw niya na sakaling sumirit muli ang kaso ng sakit sa Pilipinas ay wala o kulang ang mag-aalaga sa kanila dahil nasa ibang bansa na.

“God forbid, but if the level of transmission and contamination of COVID increased, what will happen then if our good nurses are already abroad?” sabi pa nito.

Ito aniya ang dahilan kayat hindi niya irerekomenda sa Inter-Agency Task Force ang pagbawi na sa deployment ban na sinimulan noong Abril ng POEA.

Ngunit, pumayag na rin ang IATF na makaalis ang healthcare workers na nakakuha na ng kontrata bago Marso 8 o ilang araw bago ipatupad ang enhaced community quarantine (ECQ) dahil sa dumadaming kaso ng COVID-19.
