P60-M halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo, nakumpiska ng BOC

Nakumpiska ng Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic ang isa pang kargamento na naglalaman ng smuggled na sigarilyo.

Sinabi ng ahensya na aabot sa P60 milyon ang estimated value nito.

Dumating ang kargamento sa Port of Subic na nagmula sa China noong September 5 at 6, 2020.

Naka-consign sa BWFIC TRADING ang mga kargamento na sinasabing naglalaman ng Steel Wire Mesh.

Agad nag-isyu ng Pre-Lodgement Control Order laban sa kargamento sa ilalim ng Bill of Lading No. CNH0233898.

Kasunod ito ng Alert Order laban sa isa pang shipment dahil sa paglabag sa National Tobacco Administration (NTA) Memorandum Circular No. 03 Series of 2004 at NTA Board Resolution No. 079-2005 na may kinalaman sa Section 1113 (f) at Section 1400 (Misdeclaration) ng Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).

Batay sa mga dokumento, naglalaman umano ang mga shipment ng Steel Wire Mesh ngunit natuklasan sa isinagawang eksaminasyon na iba’t ibang Union at D&B cigarette brands pala ang tunay na laman nito.

after initial examination conducted on September 15, 2020 by as well as representatives from CIIS, ESS, Philip Morris Fortune Tobacco Corp., PDEA-SBMA and Philippine Coast Guard-Subic.

Tiniyak naman ni District Collector Maritess Martin na patuloy nilang paiigtingin ang kanilang hakbang para mahinto ang smuggling sa Port of Subic.
