Japan pinautang ang Pilipinas ng P24B para sa war on COVID

Pauutangin ang Pilipinas ng Japan ng P24 bilyon bilang suporta sa pakikipaglaban ng bansa sa COVID-19.

Ang pagpapautang ay napagkasunduan nina Foreign Affairs Sec. Teodoro Locsin Jr., at Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koji Haneda.

Ang utang ay tinawag na Post Disaster Stand-by Loan Phase 2.

Magagamit ang pera para sa agarang pagbangon sa tuwing may malaking isyung pangakalusugan sa bansa.

Sa pahayag na inilabas ng Japanese Embassy, ang utang ay babayaran sa loob ng tatlong dekada at may interes na 0.01 porsiyento kada taon.

Nabatid na ang ganitong uri ng pagpapautang ng Japan sa Pilipinas ay unang ginawa matapos ang pananalasa ng bagyong Yolanda noong 2013.
