Budget department bumili ng ‘overpriced medical supplies’ – Drilon

Pinuna ni Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon ang pagbili ng Department of Budget and Management – Procurement Service ng iba’t ibang medical supplies sa halagang sobra-sobra sa mga nabili na mga katulad na gamit ng pribadong sektor.

Sinabi nito na base sa kanilang pagsasaliksik, halos kalahating bilyon piso ang natipid sana ng gobyerno kung sa tamang halaga nabili ang mga gamit.

Inihalimbawa nito ang P688 milyon ginasta para sa 2,000 test kits sa halagang P344,000 bawat isa gayung may P240,000 lang o P480 milyon.

Gayundin ang macherey nagel/nucleospin RNA virus preps kits na binili sa Lifeline Diagnostics Supplies, Inc., P108,304 bawat isa sa kabuuang P73.1 milyon para 675 units, ngunit may mabibili lang ng P47,199 o sa kabuuang P31.9 milyon.

Bumili naman ng naso pharyngeal swab at Universal Transport Medium mula sa Biosite Medical Instruments ng P415,638,000 para sa 1,611,000 sets, o P258 bawat set, ngunit may maaari lang mabili ng P150 bawat set.

Nabanggit din nito na ang pagbigay ng P727.5-million contract sa Ferjan Health Link Enterprises, na isang ‘blacklisted’ na kumpanya.
