Ayon sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), natapos ng DPWH Isabela 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) ang naturang proyekto noong buwan ng Agosto.
Sinabi ni DPWH Secretary Mark Villar na layon nitong protektahan ang mga residente ng Barangays Maluno Norte, Maluno Sur, at mga malapit na komunidad na umaasa sa agrikultura para sa kanilang kabuhayan.
“We need to have more flood control projects to be able to protect lives and properties within our principal or major river basins knowing that the province of Isabela has been the center of numerous typhoons in the past,” pahayag ni Villar.
Umabot sa P33.97 milyon ang inilaang pondo para sa protective structure.
Sinabi ng kagarawan na nagmula ang pondo sa ilalim ng DPWH Regular Infrastructure Program.
