2 NPA member patay, 1 huli sa engkwentro sa Davao City
Nasawi ang dalawang miyembro ng New People’s Army at isa pa ang nahuli matapos ang engkuwentro sa Barangay Saloy, Calinan District sa lungsod ng Davao.
Nagtungo ang mga tauhan ng Army 27th Infantry Battalion sa lugar base sa mga sumbong ng mga residente ukol sa presensiya ng mga armado.
Sa pagpapalitan ng mga putok, namatay ang dalawang rebelde samantalang nahuli naman ang isang sugatang amasona, na dinala sa Southern Philippines Medical Center.
Narekober sa kanila ang tatlong Armalite rifles, isang M4 rifle, at isang M-14 rifle.
Pinuri naman ni Lt. Gen Jose C Faustino Jr., commander ng Eastern Mindanao Command, 27th Infantry Battalion sa pagbabantay sa mga komunidad ng lungsod at pinasalamatan din ang mga komunidad sa pakikipagtulungan sa awtoridad.
“The culture of security in the City of Davao is indeed present. With the help of concerned residents, inhumane acts and possible atrocities to be committed by the Communist Terrorist Group against this peaceful city have been prevented,” aniya.
