Sahod ng mga Judges-at-large at hazard pay ng mga hukom hindi kasama sa 2021 budget ng Judiciary
Wala sa ilalim ng 2021 budget ng Judiciary ang alokasyon para sa sahod ng mga Judges-at-Large.
Sa pagdining ng Kamara sa budget ng hudikatura sinabi ni Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez na bukod sa sahod ng mga Judges-at-Large, hindi rin aniya kasama sa kanilang pondo para sa susunod na taon ang hazard pay ng mga hukom.
Sabi ni Marquez, isinama nila ito sa kanilang P55.88B budget proposal sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM) pero inalis ito sa P43.54B na pondo na nakasaad sa ilalim ng National Expenditure Program (NEP).
Mahalaga anya ang papel na ginagampanan ng mga Judges-at-Large lalo na sa mga lugar sa bansa na may mataas na case load.
Dahil dito, ipinarerekonsidera ni Marquez sa Kongreso na maibalik ang P244.9M na alokasyon para sa 60 trial Judges-at-Large para sa second level courts at 40 trial Judges-at-Large sa first level courts at ang P144M para sa hazard pay ng mga trial judges.
