DOLE, POEA inirekomenda ang exemptions sa health worker’s deployment ban

Isinumite na ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III ang kanyang rekomendasyon sa Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) para payagan ang mga medical and health worker na makapag-trabaho sa ibang bansa.

Ayon kay Bello, kasama niya sa rekomendasyon ang POEA at paliwanag nito ang dapat hindi masakop ng deployment ban ay ang mga nakakumpleto na ng kanilang overseas requirements hanggang Agosto 31.

Ginawa niya ito dahil sa apela ng mga nurse at medical worker.

“Groups of nurses and medical workers have appealed to us and because of this the POEA through a governing board resolution, if possible extend the cut off to August 31. We requested that those who with complete papers as of August 31 be allowed to leave the country. This is just the recommendation of the POEA,” aniya.

Tiwala naman ito na aaprubahan ng IATF ang kanyang rekomendasyon.

Sa kanyang pagtatantiya, 1,200 nurses lang ang maaaring makapag-trabaho sa ibang bansa.
