Higit 1,000 indibidwal na apektado ng Taal Volcano eruption, nasa evacuation centers pa rin

Maraming pamilya pa rin na apektado ng pagputok ng Bulkang Taal ang nananatili sa mga evacuation centers.

Sa pagdinig ng Kamara ng 2021 budegt ng Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development, sinabi ni National Housing Authority (NHA) General Manager Marcelino Escalada Jr., mayroong inilaang 5,488 housing units ang NHA sa Laguna, Quezon at Batangas ngunit 551 na pamilya lamang ang pinili na lumipat dito.

Mayroon aniyang 1,600 na internally displaced persons ang hanggang ngayon ay nasa mga evacuation centers.

Ayon naman kay DHSUD Sec. Eduardo del Rosario, inatasan na ng binuong regional task force shelter for Taal ang mga LGU na isumite ang kanilang housing development project upang mapondohan na ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD).

Ngunit sa ngayon ay iisang munisipalidad pa lamang aniya ang nagsusumite ng kanilang plano.

Mula naman sa P77.060 bilyong proposed budget ng DHSUD sa 2021, P3.683 bilyon lamang ang inaprubahan ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) na mas mababa sa P7.832 bilyon na budget sa taong 2020.
